Short series: 'Forth View'.
The Firth of Forth is a fjord, formed by the Forth Glacier in the last glacial period. The river is tidal as far inland as Stirling. There are a number of towns and villages which line the shores that, locally, include Grangemouth, Kinkardine and Bo’ness. There is also the petrochemical complex at Grangemouth which commenced operation in 1924 as Scottish Oils.
The Kincardine Bridge, Forth Road Bridge and Forth Rail Bridge carry traffic across the Firth. A fourth crossing (Clackmannanshire Bridge), located next to the Kincardine Bridge, opened in 2008. Another new road bridge (the fifth Forth Bridge!!) is currently under construction alongside the Forth Road Bridge and is expected to be open in 2016.
Enough of the confusion and on to the cache. Cache is a small clip lock box containing a log, pencil and some small swaps and a TB.
Please use parking at the given waypoint as this is a very busy, fast stretch of road.
