Well, the sign has gone!!!

AND SO HAS OUR CACHE!

These lovely signs had appeared all over Staffordshire

but now the signs are gone, after much public outrage and negative publicity in the local press.

So now it seems that the public have had their way and the council have taken the signs down. But also have taken our cache away with them! There is no need to state which Staffordshire you are in, just that you found the cache.
