Geocache Description:

By 5th January it is likely that many cachers will be feeling the effects of all the mince pies, turkey and New-Year over-indulgences. Why not come along to this event and walk some of it off?

Where is it?
The White Horse Pub,
1 Harborough Road,
Stoke Albany,
Leicestershire.
LE16 8PY

- The event will start at 12pm and finish at 5pm. Note: the pub opens at 12pm.
- The listed coordinates will take you to the pub's carpark which can accommodate around 20 cars. There is also plenty of kerbside parking around the village.

Will there be new caches?
Yes, there will be around 20 new caches published, hopefully, on the morning of the event. The caches will take you on a walk of approximately 3.6miles around the countryside near Stoke Albany and Wilbarston, Leicestershire. The walk should take no more than two and a half hours.

You will have the opportunity to log the following types of caches:

What sort of terrain can I expect?
There are a couple of steep(ish) hill climbs, nothing that the average cacher can't handle. Apart from that, the terrain is quite gentle. Some parts may be muddy depending on the weather. You might struggle with pushchairs over this sort of terrain but I have seen it done before!

Is there somewhere to eat and drink before/after the event?
Yep, plenty of food and drink in the pub.

Will there be GPX files available so that I can load the new caches onto my GPSr?
Why, of course. My computer and I will be there to assist. Paper copies of the coordinates list will also be available.

If anyone has any questions, please just ask! email: harbcache@gmail.com

For those of you who are into trackables, this event will be using the 'Tee-Bees' discovery system. This will allow you to discover all of the trackables attached to the event at a stroke of your keyboard (by logging into a website. The event will be listed on the Tee-Bees website on the day of the event), rather than having to manually record each trackable code. You will need a password to do this. At the event please pick up a card which will give you the password. A picture of the card you will pick up is shown below:
