Famous Captains series

Captain Kangaroo was a character in a weekly TV series that lasted nearly thirty years (1955 - 1984). Bob Keeshan played the role of the captain and the show was based on the warm relationship between grandparents and children. The Captain obtained his name due to the large pockets in his coat.
