Originally I thought this was a church and had this great write up. But oh to be wrong (only has happened a time or two)!
Anyway after some research and further conversation with one of the locals, this seems to be one of the rural schools that had met it's demise sometime in the past. As told to me, this was Morrill County School #63.
The original name for the cache, 'School Time #1', I kind of have it in my mind to place some caches close to some of the rural schools. Because of Nebraska State Law, most (all) of the rural schools will be closed after this year. (I will check on the accuracy of that statement?) Raising our children in rural schools (Cedar Canyon), it was more that just a good education they got, but a real sense of community. Great times could always be anticipated when attending the events at the school.
When I used to travel this road in my earlier days, I remember the neatly kept building and it pretty surroundings. Now in great need of repair the only thing left is probably some distant memories. So let a little nostalgia enter your mind for a few moments while retrieving the cache and try to imagine what it might have been like in times past.. Enjoy the cache..
