Come one come all come and help me clean up Whangarei.
I have set up a few CITO's to clean up a few of the parks around town.
I will bring along a roll of rubbish bags and some disposable gloves and will also have some hand sanitiser to clean up afterwards.
TIME:10AM
MEET:Mair Park car park. Please make sure you are here by 10am so we can get numbers. We will park up here. When we find out how many people will be coming we will load up into a few cars and head up to the top of the mountain to head back to the bottom. Cleaning up as we go. This way we can get the cars after the walk. If the weather is not the best we will just do a park clean up when the showers let us and leave the track for another day.
LOCATION: ANZAC MEMORIAL to Mair Park
This event is going to be located at the top of Memorial drive and head down to Mair Park Parking lot.
We will be cleaning up around the memorial and the paths and the carpark.
Approximately 10.05am we will head to the top of the hill to walk down.
We will walk down the hillside and meet up back at the cars, this way someone can drop the other car drivers back at the top to get the other cars. Once this is over we will head off and you can go cache. We will be having another CITO this afternoon in Raumanga near my other caches: http://coord.info/GC40DW1
Those who attend this event will also receive a Be a tidy Kiwi Badge.

We hear it all the time, “Geocachers are the nicest people!” It’s a wonderful compliment that good-hearted geocachers have earned for over a decade. Cache In Trash Out (CITO) weekend is just another example of geocachers giving back. Since 2002, tens of thousands of geocachers have cleaned up parks, trails and other geocaching-friendly destinations. Geocachers plan CITO events year round, but one weekend each year the global geocaching community unites to cleanup tons of trash together.
The 11th Annual CITO weekend is scheduled for April 20 and 21, 2013. There will be hundreds of events to attend in dozens of countries.
Those attending CITO Events on April 20 or April 21 (or both!) will earn a 2013 CITO Souvenir for their Geocaching profile. Thanks for keeping the geocaching a community one of the nicest groups of people out there!
