The Yellow Trail is one of the least used trails in the Krantzkloof Nature Reserve - mainly because of the steep descent into the gorge (and the steep and taxing climb back to the parking spots).
The Yellow Trail runs from the main picnic site in Kloof Falls Road to the Valley Drive (Nkutu) picnic site at the other end of the reserve,
This cache has been placed to encourage geocachers to walk this great trail - even more so as the number of caches along the yellow trail is steadily increasing.
Easiest access is from the main picnic site in Kloof Falls Road as the gradients on this approiach are generally easier. This walk is however slightly longer.
Most of the trail is in riverine forest. A few river / stream crossings are required but most of these are easy when the Molweni River is at low to normal levels. Please exercise caution after rains.
Parking at the Uve Rd parking area is free of charge. Parking at the main picnic site will attract a nominal entrance fee (R15 in October 2012). Holders of Rhino Cards get free entry.
