High mountain meadow.
I've gotten to really like the meadows tucked in among all the trees on Mt. Graham.
Just after the turn off for the Shannon Campground, the paved road ends. There is a turn out and road that goes to the right. Park here and start going up the road. While hiking, you might as well get my "Uphill Road" cache as you'll be passing right by it. I've always wanted to know where the road went so I hiked it. As you hike, you will see that there is a meadow just above the road on your right. You need to stay on the road past where your GPS says to turn off, so that you can have easier access to the meadow. Once in the meadow, let your GPS guide you . Mine was saying accuracy was within 20 ft. The container is a plastic cylinder shorter than your typical glass. There was lots of sign that people have used this meadow for fun. It is a beautiful place. Walking around a bit gets you to a beautiful view off the mountain. Enjoy.
