Ingersoll Hollow'een Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Farmer's Daughters: Three years ago, when we placed this cache, there were two huge, side-by-side logs in this quiet corner of the cemetery. But, over time, due to the maintenance of the grounds, the logs have been shoved and chopped up so much, the remaining remnants aren't large enough to conceal all of the "tricks" originally associated with this cache. So we are reluctantly saying "Goodbye" to this one, and also, a big "Thanks" to those who gave it favorite points.

Geocache Description:

Would you rather have a trick or a treat? This cache has a bit of both. It's been rumoured that the former residence in this cemetery is haunted, so it felt like the appropriate location for this Hallowe'en hide! We hope you enjoy the hunt.

Just a short walk south of here is the new 'Charles Ingersoll' family stone. Charles was the son of our town's founder, Thomas Ingersoll, and a brother to the War of 1812 heroine, Laura Ingersoll Secord. The monument can be found at N 43° 03.196 W 080° 52.514.
