Part of my Monopoly Series
The last of the Yellows, Marvin Gardens is the most expensive of the set. It is the only colored property that is not a street; it is a housing area outside of Atlantic City, New Jersey. It is famous as a Yellow property on the original Atlantic City version of the Monopoly game board, It is also misspelled: the real place is Marven Gardens, not Marvin Gardens. It was not until 1995 that Parker Brothers acknowledged this mistake and formally apologized to the residents of Marven Gardens for the misspelling.[4] It is the only such property on the game board that is not located within Atlantic City.
