A small clip lock container.
In the historic Fenland town of Ramsey, a cache and dash at Booth’s Hill. This is the location of a former castle, which dates back to the 12th century, although there is almost nothing to see now. More recently, an ice house was built on the site by the De Ramsey family in the 1830’s. There are more details about the history of the area and how an ice house was built, on a board nearby. There is no need to go anywhere near the ice house and as there is a shallow ditch nearby keep an eye on any small children in your group. Don’t go for this one at the start or finish of the school day (8:35 and 15:10) as the cache is not far from a school entrance. Cache placed with kind permission of Cambridgeshire County Council.
