Geocache Description:

These letterboxes feature wildlife and plants that live and grow in the Nature Park. If you are new to the Nature Park you may need a park map (available in the Interpretive Center or at any park entrance). The clues take you along the loop route counter-clockwise, but you can go clockwise for a challenge. All of the letterboxes are located within one or two steps of the trail. Remember to replace the letterboxes as you found them with lids tight and all contents within the plastic bags provided.

Poison Oak

I usually grow as a woody shrub, but also climb, vine-like, up the sides of trees, and can be found growing as single stems in grassy areas. I can be spotted (and the rash I cause avoided) by recognizing my oak-like leaves in groups of three that turn brilliant colors in the fall. Cache is on the right of the trail after the end of the boardwalk. It is beneath a large alder tree covered by logs.
