In the Stevenston Sand Dunes system. Park either in the Beach Park car park at the Ardeer end or at the end of the Saltcoats Promenade. The Sustrans Cycle route runs through the site. You can only drive down as far as the first metal gate by the pedestrian overbridge.
Take the Sandylands Path that runs through the dunes to the beach from the railway pedestrian overbridge and cyclepath.
Once up on the dunes line up the Stevenston church tall thin spire with the centre of the two stanchions carrying the railway electricty cables and the cache lies slightly to the east.
Don't go looking for it in shorts and a 'T' Shirt!
