Geocache Description:

You do this cache at your own risk! Please remember just because a cache is there, you do not have to do it. You have to climb high enough that you could risk serious injury doing this cache. You do so at your own risk.

The cache name says it all. Be confident that you can descend as well as ascend. The tree is just off the footpath and is hidden in Simon's Wood, hence the name. Anybody who found the cache GC13MY6 "Did Simon Swim Here" will be familiar with the location.

I've always wanted to hide a cache here since the first day I tried to find a cache back in 2004. A major GPS malfunction meant that several of us spent quite a while looking for GCD91D "Stumpy" here - Yes, that is a pretty major malfunction! The cache is a large micro with no pen, so please bring something to write with.

I did not use any special equipment to set this cache, but you may choose to use some, including ropes for safety.

The cache is pretty easy to spot from the pathway.

Please play fair to the spirit of this cache and only log it if you climbed the tree all the way to the cache.
