Geocache Description:

The above cache is NOT at the posted coordinates

To find the correct coordinates, you must solve two trigonometry puzzles.

First puzzle: A young man wants to cross a river in a kayak. He can paddle at a constant rate of 3 ft per second. The river he is crossing is flowing at a constant rate of 5.25 feet per second. If he points the bow of his kayak directly at the opposite side of the river and starts paddling and it takes him 54 seconds to cross the river, how far in total does he travel? The north coordinates will be N 38 07.ABC with ABC being the answer to the above problem ROUNDED to the nearest whole number.

Second puzzle: A ship's captain needs to move his ship 500 km. He starts out but forgets to take into account the current of the water and after traveling 251 km finds that he is off course by 21.5º. How far away is the ship from its final destination at this point? Hint: you may want to draw a picture of this problem before attempting to solve. The west coordinates will be W 121 17.DEF with DEF being your answer to the second puzzle and DROPPING the decimals (only take the whole number to your solution, do not round this one).
