Our third hike through this section of the Proud Lake Rec Area. There are some wonderful hiking / biking trails back here that wind through the woods.
The farther back you get into this area, the more the trails become more like paths. There are multiple trails/paths that will lead you back to this area. If you choose the right one, the cache is located about 40 feet from the path.
No bushwhacking is required to retrieve the cache, but watch your step as the ground gets a bit mucky near the cache site (stay on the 'path' as long as you can) and there are quite a few downed trees on the walk back to GZ.
Cache is a small lock-n-lock with a log and some small trade items. Bring your own pen.
