The Baakens River is home to more than 100 species of South African birds.In addition to the variety of birdlife, animals such as the rather large tortoises, meerkats, rabbits, small buck, mongoose, guinea fowls can be seen.

This trail was discovered accidently by us after taking a detour due to the baakens river crossing road being closed down after the heavy floods.In order to get to the cache a bit of climbing and agility is required,hence the terrain rating.Have fun and maybe you will be lucky enough to cross paths with the same tortoise we did,on our 1st time on the trail.
Please bring own pen.Space to trade. The first person to find will be in for a very nice micro cache container that is inside the cache.
