БЪЛГАРСКИ
Искър (на латински: Oescus, Ескус) е река в Западна България. Тя е дълга 368 km (най-дългата в страната), а водосборната област има площ 8 650 km2. Река Искър извира от Рила и е единствената река, която пресича Стара планина. Влива се в река Дунав близо до село Гиген.

Искър се образува от сливането на три реки: Бели Искър, Леви Искър и Черни Искър.

За нейно начало се приема река Бели Искър, която извира от Канарското езеро на височина 2 500 m.

Черни Искър води началото си от Езерото на чистотата в Западна Рила, като събира водите си от обширния циркус между Зелени връх и връх Харамията. Във високите части на планината реката образува дълбока долина със стръмни склонове от двете страни. Протича през Говедарци, Маджаре и Мала църква.

Леви Искър се намира между Бели и Черни Искър. Извира на 10-12 km над с. Мала църква и се влива в Черни Искър под с. Мала църква. Името, с което местните живущи наричат самото сливане на реките е „Сливането“. Река Искър образува два пролома: „Панчаревски“ и „Искърски“, характерни с интересни скални образувания, по чиито склонове са разположени множество манастири.

На нея са разположени язовирите Искър, Пасарел и Панчарево.

Кеша се намира там където се сливат Бели и Черни Искър. Мястото около Черни Искър е перфектно за къмпинг и барбекю.


ENGLISH


The Iskar (Bulgarian: Искър; Latin: Oescus) is, with a length of 368 km, the longest river that runs solely in Bulgaria, and a tributary of the Danube.

The Iskar is formed by three rivers, the Cherni (black) Iskar, Beli (white) Iskar and Levi (left) Iskar (known under the collective name Iskrove), with the source being accepted to be the Prav (straight) Iskar, a tributary of the Cherni Iskar. After descending from the north slopes of Rila, it fills the Iskar Reservoir—the largest in Bulgaria and the Lake Pancharevo. The river runs near Sofia and passes through a rocky gorge in the Balkan Mountains. It flows into the Danube near the village of Gigen in Pleven Province. The Iskar is the only river to take its source from southern Bulgaria and cross the Balkan Mountains to flow into the Danube.

The Iskar flows through seven provinces of Bulgaria: the capital city of Sofia, Sofia Province, Pernik Province, Vratsa Province, Pleven Province and Lovech Province. This is the main source of water for Sofiyskavoda, the water and sewarage company in Sofia. In terms of geology, the Iskar is the oldest river in the Balkans and also the only one to have preserved its original direction despite the significant geological changes in later stages.

The cache is placed at where the Beli and Cherni Iskar merged. The area around the Cherni Iskar is perfect for camping and barbecue.
