A Point of Views Traditional Cache
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions

Raven Point is a spit, a type of peninsula created by deposited sand. It is a portion of an area consisting of a series of sand dunes known as the North Slob with views of the Irish sea and the harbour.
Raven Point is planted with a forest of pine and other evergreen trees. It is also a sanctuary for birds such as geese and wildlife especially the red squirrel. Seals can also be seen on the beaches. A looped walk of the area goes to the tip of the Raven Point spit through the wood and back again via the beach, this is a great forest for walking, running, cycling and for children to explore. Great spots for picnics.
The cache is approximately 4 km from car park, it is approx 8 km return to the car park, the loop walk is approx 10km, it takes approx 1.5 hours to walk the looped walk, the path is suitable for bikes and tough terrain buggies. I would recommend to bring drinks and maybe a snack for kiddies. we hope you enjoy your visit as much as we do :)
