Punk Island Traditional Cache

This cache is hidden on Jackson island in the Grand River, which is currently devoid of caches, near downtown Grand Rapids. The island is also known as 'Punk Island' due to the punk rockers that used to squat on the island back in the day. There are still squaters here alot of the time, but I think it's mostly just regular homeless people now rather than exclusively the punk rock homeless crowd.
WARNING! You are searching for this cache at your own risk. I would recommend putting in a kayak or boat at a nearby launch, or perhaps even wading or swimming to it during the warmer months. Whatever the case, make sure to find your way while staying off private property, and be wary of no trespassing signs. The 'way of the hobo' is not encouraged- there is no need to walk on the tracks! I would recommend bringing a friend along as well; even though this is public property you never know who you might run into. This cache would definitely be most safely done during peak daylight hours. HAVE FUN!!
