OB1 is a Geocache hidden in Lord's Wood on the northern outskirts of Southampton. The area is popular with dog walkers, mountain bikers and horse riders. There is usually plenty of wildlife to see in the woods as long as you go when it is quiet.
The area is crossed by serveral good gravel paths and many smaller tracks made by mountain bikers, most of these you will not see on the map.
The geocache is a ammo tin hidden near a good gravel path. You can approach from either the north from Chilworth or from the south from Coxford road where there is both on and off road parking. You can get to within 10m of the cache from either direction on good gravel paths if you have a map and plan your route! No doubt if you just follow the gps you will end up on the many muddy mountain bike tracks that cover the area.
GPS coverage can be an issue under the trees but you should not stuggle to spot where the cache is once you are reasonably close.
