Stenholtsvang i den sydlige del af Gribskov har taget navn efter den for længst forsvundne by landsby Stenholt. Efter 1519 hører man ikke mere til byen som oprindeligt bestod af 3-5 huse og gårde. Senere opførtes en gård ved navn Stenholt syd for Stenholt vandmølle (som stadig findes). Ordet ”Stenholt” kan oversættes med den lille stenfyldte skov og ”vang” betyder indhegnet område. Gå en tur i skoven.
UK: Stenholtsvang in the southern part of Gribskov takes its name from the long lost city village Stenholt. After 1519 we hear no more of the city that originally consisted of 3-5 houses and farms. Later a farm was built named Stenholt south of Stenholt watermill (which still exists). The word "Stenholt"can be translated to: the small rocky forest and "vang" means fenced area. Take a walk in the woods.
