Geocache Description:

Everyone feels that their town is the best but our town’s meaning is “land of the white rolling sands “ which just happens to have a gateway to Georgian Bay.

Wrapped in history dating back to our early Huron settlers (800AD), a young French translator Étienne Brûlé (1610), to a visit from the first Lieutenant Governor of Upper Canada John Graves Simcoe (1793), you will find that the charms of Penetanguishene lie in the waters of Georgian Bay. Enjoy the beauty that surrounds you whether it is from land, water or the sky; for here is the Gateway to Georgian Bay.

Please be careful to mind the little ones as there is water around you, also please replace the cache to its hiding spot and be sure to bring your own writing instrument!
