North To Nelson!
The Great Northern Rail Trail extends from Salmo, past Nelson, and on to Troup, following the former Burlington Santa Fe rail bed. The rail bed is level (more or less), but some portions of it are better traveled than others, so the ground varies from groomed gravel to overgrown weeds. It is a great trail for walking or cycling, and in the winter, X-country skiing or snowshoeing.
This cache is about 35m off the railtrail, up on the old highway. Pay attention to the terrain rating and make sure you're wearing something sturdy on your feet before going after this one. Once you have found this cache, I think the title will make sense.
