Geocache Description:

In 1994 we visited Mrs Morris’s farmhouse prior to this pine plantation being planted.  This cache is placed in respect to her property.

As a sub-contractor tree planter for the then Victorian Plantations, then Hancock Plantations and now Grandridge Plantations, Rob and his employees hand planted pinus radiata, carrying up to 100 seedlings in a hessian shoulder bag, planting 1000 trees per day in the machine ripped soil.
We were offered the opportunity to demolish Mrs Morris’s house, to use the materials for renovating our Mirboo North home.  Due to the distance and other commitments we declined.
18 years later we visited the ruins of the home and dairy in a clearing about 800m along the track.  The land is owned privately by Grandridge Plantations.  The bricks that we were after are still lying amongst the overgrown weeds.  The plantation is nearly ready for harvest.
The cache is hidden outside the property, as when the harvesting starts they will probably remove everything in their way.
Congratulations to FlyingPigSquadron for **FTF**
