La Chiesa di San Lorenzo a Gozzano si trova fuori dal centro abitato nei pressi del cimitero, alle spalle della Chiesa di Santa Maria del Boggio. E' immersa nel verde e facilmente raggiungibile dal paese.
Secondo la tradizione la Chiesa di San Lorenzo fu costruita nel IV secolo da San Giulio e San Giuliano e qui vennero custodite le spoglie di quest'ultimo finchè non furono trasferite nella Basilica di San Giuliano. Nel XII secolo l'edificio venne ricostruito e dedicato a San Lorenzo e tra il ‘600 e il ‘700 venne rimaneggiato. I reperti archeologici che sono stati rinvenuti di recente confermano che l'attuale edificio venne costruito sui resti di una chiesa paleo-cristiana realizzata presumibilmente tra il V e il VI secolo.
La Chiesa di San Lorenzo è ad aula unica, orientata, con quattro arcate che terminano nell'abside semicircolare, che è la parte più antica dell'edificio: risale infatti al XII secolo. Dietro l'altare, in stile barocco, si trovavano un tempo le spoglie di San Giuliano. La sacrestia risale al XVII secolo, così come il porticato della facciata. Nel periodo a cavallo tra il ‘600 e il ‘700 venne anche innalzato il campanile.
E' importante menzionare gli affreschi risalenti al XV secolo che si trovano all'interno della chiesa: uno raffigurante San Lorenzo Martire, l'immagine di una santa e una Madonna col bambino nell'atto di ricevere i doni dai Re magi

The Church of San Lorenzo is a single room, oriented, with four arches ending in semicircular apse, which is the oldest part of the building: it dates back to the twelfth century. Behind the altar in the Baroque style, were once the remains of San Giuliano. The sacristy dates from the seventeenth century, as well as the portico of the facade. In the period between the 600 and the 700 was also raised its bell tower.
It 'important to mention the frescoes dating back to the fifteenth century that are inside the church: one depicting St. Lawrence Martyr, the image of a saint and a Madonna and child in the act of receiving the gifts of the Magi
