Research at Department of Primary Industries Rutherglen Centre covers a broad range of issues that affect agricultural producers.
The work at Rutherglen has changed in recent years, with a stronger focus on Victorian and national agricultural issues, rather than those of a regional nature.
Research projects include lamb production and EverGraze, phylloxera, soil fertility, pasture agronomy and production, modelling of water movement from farm to catchment scale, developing tools for environmental assessment and nutrient management.
