Definition: a large narrow-necked bottle usually enclosed in wickerwork. Well, this container doesn't meet the specs, but I just like the name. In recent times, I heard it used in a presentation about the sinking of the Union iron clad gunboat USS Cairo in Vicksburg during the Civil War. A demijohn full of explosives was floated out and detonated effectively to sink that ship. Cairo became the first ship in history to be sunk by an electrically detonated torpedo. More personally, I like the word because my Dad always used it when he was at a tavern ordering another drink...."Gimmee another demijohn" is all he'd say, and as if by magic, the bartender knew what that meant. High clearance vehicle required. Container is large enough for Geocoins and small TBs. It initially has a pencil, but it's always safest to bring your own. You MUST sign the log to claim a find for this cache. Please be sure to close the container completely! Have FUN!
