A nano placed at the site of a new gap filler in Riccarton.
My favorite Thai restaurant in Christchurch was located at this corner and I would frequent it often. There was also a homemade candy shop next door. One week in February 2012, I ate their two days in a row. The following week the restaurant was found to be rendered structurally unsound by the earthquakes from a year before and the whole series of shops were torn down shortly thereafter.
For a while the demolition site was being used as a car park, but better things were planned. The site is now a mini-park. It includes a stage for buskers, seats (which are well used at lunchtime and a favorite of teenage muggles in the afternoon), plants and trees. There is also a steel clock sculpture and a mural.
Stealth is going to be essential for finding this cache. You will need to be especially wary at lunchtime and afternoons. It may be best approached in the evening after the shops have closed or at night.
As this is a nano, please bring your own pen. I have left a tool with the cache which will help with retrieving it.
