It will soon be time to get out of the cabin and join us for a day of fellowshipping, telling stories, and having a fun time. We will have the same facilities as last year at Grant shelter in Jefferson Barracks Park. It can accommodate 350 people, includes 25 tables, over 200 chairs, a fireplace, double large BBQ pit outside, and overhead heaters.

When: 11AM - 6 PM (Doors open at 9)

Who: Everyone! This will be a potluck so bring a dish to share.
Bring your own drinks as well.
About the shelter:
The place is heated
The county will furnish firewood for the fireplace (if needed)
"Plenty" of electricity
Restrooms in the shelter
Water available and a "slop" sink but no kitchen.
The past years we have had a lot of activities going on, such as the TB race,TB table, auction items, everything is $3 table, geo bingo, coin table, etc. This was a lot of work for the volunteers who set up and manned the tables or managed the activity. Hopefully we can do those things again and even other activities. All it takes are some ideas and a little help. Let me know if you'd like to help out with anything and/or have ideas for new activities.
Again this year, St. Louis County Parks has graciously provided the shelter to us at no cost. This means we have to setup the tables and chairs AND take them all down at the end of the day like the previous years.
We look forward to getting together again this winter and talking about caches we have done, caches we want to find, and swapping stories of caching experiences. There are many caches in the park and I expect to see some new ones pop up too. We would like to focus on fellowship and getting to know each other and the many new cachers who join us
This is also a good opportunity to invite local land managers that you have personally worked with. Have them come out for some food and friendship and get to know some of the cachers in the area. Please contact your local land manager or parks department and invite them to come out. It is our appreciation for letting us play in their parks.
And as we have done the past 5 years at our events, we will have a drop-off spot for those wanting to donate can goods for a local food pantry. We will take the donated can goods to a local pantry.
