Geocache Description:

Deep within a 1.2 mile section of the Piedmont Trail.

This part of the Piedmont trail is a 1.2 mile loop trail that is open to the public on the Prince William campus of George Mason University. There is plenty of free parking nearby at the Freedom aquatic and fitness center.

This cache was placed with permission from George Mason University and the center for team and organizational learning.

Enjoy the nature around you as you look for this cache.  It's ok to trailblaze or follow the path. Sensible outdoor shoes are a good idea. If you see the wheel you know you are near. Look everywhere.

This portion of the Piedmont trail was the result of a partnership between the Prince William trails and streams coalition and George Mason University. A group of dedicated volunteers coordinated by the EDGE (MASON's center for team and organizational learning) helped to build and continues to maintain this trail, where you can jog, hike, bike, walk your dog or bird watch. As you progress down the trail take a look at the 'elements' which are creatively used to foster a variety of team and individual skills. Many of these elements are marked with no trespassing signs, please respect these signs. The trail opened October 2010.
