Geocache Description:

Kid friendly cache with lots of neat items for kids to trade.  The cache is just a short distance off the trail and as with any off-trail hiking you should be aware of poison ivy although we tried to find a location where we did not see any nearby.

This cache is located just off the North Loop of the new Perimeter Trail in the beautiful Hinson Conservation and Recreation Area. The park is open from sunrise to sunset and there is no fee to enter, however, there is a donation box at the entrance. The park offers opportunities for picnicking, exploring, canoeing and of course hiking.

The Perimeter Trail is a loop trail approximately 4 miles in length and travels along the beautiful Chipola River, past Alamo Cave, through wooded areas and beautiful meadows. The trails in the park were completed in 2012 and maps are available at the parking area, which is located at the end of Gator Hole Lane. If you are not up to hiking the entire length of the Perimeter Trail, you can access the North Loop via the “white” connector trail at the parking area. Bring the kids and a picnic lunch and enjoy a day in this beautiful park.
