Geocache Description:

A delightful hidden gem of a park to explore...
... or kick a ball around in...

Cache is a now a natural camoed eclipse.  It is nestled within a stump, next to a tree growing in the stump.
Please return carefully and make sure it is tucked in securely. The younger ones could have lots of fun playing here - but do watch them near this water.

SaltyCacheNutZ had a cache very close to this but as it went missing she has archived it - check out the web page for Hidden Hodges GC2DGC2...
Information gleaned from her page is reprinted here...

Hodges Park is a pretty little reserve tucked away in Kamo with some hidden history. There are several entrances, so be sure to wander the grounds to view the historic stone bridge and get a peep of the historic home, Moehau.
Moehau ( sleeping winds) circa 1896 was the first turreted house to be built in Kamo. The tower has 8 sides, 16 windows and indoor access by 2 staircases allowing one to soak up the sun & warmth in winter and admire the views over the stone walls of the district.
The stone bridge was built in 1894 by English stonemason Thomas Cameron. The arch is completely self-supporting & was made entirely from dressed natural stone for Matilda Sisson to access her well known orchard.

Entry to the park can be from several options - but I'd advise from Ford Ave as then you could do another part of the walkway to collect another cache -  Walkway Extended GC40WCM
