This cache was created to honour a symbol of the Happiest Season of All: The Christmas Tree. The History of the first Christmas tree is uncertain. Some claim the tree originated in Germany in the mid 1500's, others claim it was at Riga in Latvia in 1510, and a few even believe in a legend that St. Boniface used the Christmas tree as early as the 7th century to teach the word of God in Germany.
The Christmas Tree which is usually an Evergreen or Fir tree is also referred to as the Tree of Eternal Life by many cultures and is also associated with the Tree of Paradise which is used to commemorate Adam & Eve's Name Day which is December 24th. Whatever the origin or beliefs. The Christmas Tree is a part of Celebrations all over the World and brings Happiness and a sense of Tradition to many Families.
Every Christmas Tree needs decorations so feel free to bring an ornament for the tree and let me know what you placed on the tree in your log.
