This cache (a tethered water tight case) is a short walk from the parking area past an area of varying animal habitats.
When scouting out cache locations, this spot was always the most enjoyable to walk to because of it’s gradual change from roadside/urban to a nature filled hike.
Be sure to look up from your GPS unit!! You may spy a resident bunny early in the walk, some Muscovy ducks or Cormorants relaxing by the lake, and use your eyes and ears to search out a few red headed woodpeckers that love to snack near by.
Lastly….. always LOOK DOWN when heading off the path. This area has a few spottings of red ant piles, so be watchful.
