A cache placed in honour of the Festive season, although it can be found at any time of year!

This cartridge was tested in the field prior to publication using the Wherigo app for a certain type of phone that keeps the doctor away, if you catch my drift ;-). Apps for other platforms and GPSes are available.

You will be taken on a tour of the City Centre, where you will be opening doors of a virtual Advent Calendar. Behind each door might be a question about the physical location you are at (this is to prevent enterprising cachers from completing this with emulators), or there may be a tenuously-linked festive general knowledge question. Don't worry, these are not meant to be taxing, however if you're stuck it might pay you to have a mobile source of internet or a phone-a-friend handy! Behind the final door are the co-ordinates of the cache.

The core element of the game is to find and open each Advent Calendar door in turn. There are also lots of side missions to accomplish as you go along. I wouldn't worry too much about this to start with - you will need to complete these to find the cache, but you should find most of what you need incidentally as you go along. There will be hints at the end if you've not found what you need.

The locations are all within walking distance and the final location is around 20 minutes walk from here, although you may wish to drive to the final location. I would say to allow 2-3 hours for this cache, although be prepared to allow considerably longer. If your hardware allows you to save your progress, then do so by all means and complete over several sittings. I would strongly advise you save your progress at regular intervals in any case.

You will pass by five other caches to my knowledge (I couldn't possibly say which ones) on your route.

Stealth will be needed at the final location and throughout as you are in urban locations. Not all locations are available 24/7 (although the final location is), in particular, you will not be able to complete the tour in its entirety between the hours of 6:30pm and 7am.

Parking is available nearby but it is mostly of the paid variety I'm afraid. Very limited parking at final location.

The route is largely wheelchair and buggy friendly however as there are works in progress around the City Centre you may find some areas tricky to pass. You may also find one of the zones difficult to pass.

Bring your own pen and be economical writing the log.
