Geocache Description:

Hello fellow geocachers - this is cache number 4 from the local school geocache club.
Masham is a fantastic little market town, lots of parking space, plenty of good places to eat. There are so many interesting buildings and things to see.

This cache is within the grounds of St Mary's Church yard. This is a most interesting building; well worth a visit round. There's a saxon cross near the doorway to the building.
The cache is to be found on the far side of the graveyard and the kids criptic clue should help you. It's a plastic box with a couple of items to exchange. Nearby there is a most interesting grave - viking remains! When Masham did some digging in the Little Market Place, they found these bones. After years of investigation at Bradford University they are as certain as they can be that they are of viking origin. There is a blue plaque in the Little Market Place explaining this.
