Tatlisu Belediyesi Beach
Note: Tatlisu Greek name Akanthou.
Tatlisu Council (Tatlisu Belediyesi) run a beach and holiday village. From Kyrenia/Girne just drive up to the Tatlisu roundabout and straight across. You will soon see the large signposts for the beach, the first is just after the signpost and takes you along a narrow strip of tarmac onto the old coast road. A few minutes further along is a second turning giving more direct access. Zambak Tatil Koyu translates as 'Lily Holiday Village' and it is possible to book wooden bungalows here for an overnight stay. Another attraction is a bar on a pier over the sea and a restaurant built on stilts on a rocky promontory protruding over the sea. There is a picnic area with possibility of BBQ. The beach is sandy and suitable for children. Facilities are shower, toilets. Sun beds and umbrellas can be hired at a small charge of 3TL.
The cache is a black canister containing Log book & pencil, yoyo, FTF badge, fridge magnet, highlighter, calling card and TB.
