Geocache Description:

A cache to break up that long boring ten mile drive from Newtownards to Belfast. Cache is only available to do when travelling from Newtownards to Belfast, parking available in lay-by near GZ.

All true Ards folk know that it's a ten mile drive from Newtownards to Belfast. And what a boring drive it is! This cache is placed close to a parking lay-by on the main Newtownards to Belfast Road (A20 - Kempstones Road) and is placed to hopefully break up that dull drive for fellow cachers and perhaps you'll let out a few ohhh's and ahhh's when you find same.

NB: As stated, the cache is only available if you are travelling along the A20 Kempstones Road heading from Newtownards towards Belfast and parking is available in a lay-by near GZ. As it is beside a busy road, please keep a close eye on any young members of your team.

A short scramble up a bank is required to get to GZ which offers an alternative view of Scrabo Tower.  Although beside a main road, GZ is out of sight of passing muggle drivers.



The cache is a non-traditional small sized cache with a geocaching sticker on the outside.  It contains a large First To Find badge for the first finder along with a log and a few swapables with room for small travelbugs/geocoins.  Please bring your own pen/pencil to sign the log and be sure to leave the cache as you found it.
