A rest stop between Kuaotunu and Wharekaho (Simpsons Beach).
On our recent driving trip to the Mega event in Dunedin, we were disappointed in how many spots worthy of a stop that had safe pull off didn’t have caches to find. We now are on a mission to put caches in places that allow a good pull off and something worthy to look at.
This spot has a monument, minus the inscription. We have tried to find out what its about, if anyone knows please email us to add the information to the page. We hope the council trims a few trees at some stage, as we are sure the view is splendid.
Safe pull off and bottom entry back on the highway. Best to approach travelling SOUTH from Kuaotunu to Whitianga.
The Cache is a small mint tin with suitable camo.
At the time of placement it contained:
Log Sheet, Silica(Please do not take or eat), Stash Note and FTF our signature pathtag.
