[ENG] The Vehendi Recreational Centre includes the only public beach on the eastern shore of Lake Võrtsjärv. Reeds had covered this location some ten years ago but the shore strip was properly arranged in 2005.
A wharf reaches out from the edge of the shore, there are several car parkings, picnic and campfire spots, a volleyball court, outdoor toilet facilities and camping areas. The large log building in the shadow of pines serves as a shelter from rain and a venue for public events.
This cache is part of cache series Gates of the Lake Võrtsjärv. Under each cache (1-7) you can find numbers, which are part of the puzzle Gates of the Lake Võrtsjärv 8
[EST] Vehendi puhkekeskus on korrastatud Rannu valla eestvedamisel 2005. aastal, rahalist abi saadi selleks piirkondade konkurentsivõime programmist.
Projekti raames korrastati kaldariba, süvendati paadikanal, ehitati paadisild, asfalteeriti juurdepääsutee, rajati parkimisplatsid, pikniku- ja lõkkeplatsid, võrkpalliplats, välikäimla ja veevõtukoht ning korrastati telkimiskoht. Puhkealal on palkhoone, mis täidab varjualuse funktsioone.
Aare on osa Võrtsjärve Väravad aarete sarjast. Iga aarde (Võrtsjärve Väravad 1-7) konteineri kaane alt võib soovi korral leida arvud, millest koosneb Võrtsjärve Väravad 8 aarde mõistatuse lahendus.
