The cache is under a granite rock along the fence in the back alley. It's at the end of a strip of grass with shrubs along a wooden fence on the west end of the line of shrubs. The cache is here, so it's easy for my kids who have gotten into geo-caching to check the log and see who has been by, but it's close to downtown, where all the tourists hang out. It was under a fake rock and will be again but currently under a real rock.
If you go down the alley between Whitmen and the main Highway 2 when you get to the point where you are behind the Leavenworth city staging area (which doubles as a parking lot at times), then opposite of that is the wood fence, the line of shrubs and on the west end where the rock is in the middle of a little patch of grass. The cache is under the rock. Keep in mind the neighbor's dog will get excited, and there could be barking, but the dog is harmless. Also, please do not smash the cache.
