Most cachers that know me, know that I cache with my Border Collie dog, Princess. What they don't know, is that I always enjoy a good word search puzzle. By the way, the cache is not at the listed coordinates. Please read the cache description for puzzle and important information regarding the park!
Please park at the parking coordinates provided, they are the only way to access the cache. This cache is located in Middle Patuxent Environmental Area, which is owned by Howard County Parks and Recreations. Please search for this cache during daylight hours only, that is their rule. They are generous enough to allow geocaches on their property, and I'd love to keep it that way!
This park is also a managed hunting area. I will update the page each year when I become aware of the hunting dates.
As stated before the cache is not at the posted coordinates. To figure out the final coordinates, you will need to solve a puzzle. The final cache will provide what I feel is a very enjoyable hike, even though it's a short hike (in my opinion). I often come to this park, and hike the entire five miles. Feel free to do this yourself while you're here, you won't regret it. There are trail maps available online (via the related web page link). They area also generally available at both trailheads.
