Nearby a Historic Santa Fe Railroad Bridge made of stone and brick in the late 1800s.
Plenty of parking, short walk down a paved path to the cache. Cache is just south of the trail, nearby the old RR bridge. Park is open 24/7 with lighted paths at night. The cache is in a new location due to flooding taking away my old one a few times.
Cache with log only. Bring a pen.
Be sure to work the cap back on the cache all the way.

Just Prior to the land run of 1889 the Santa Fe Railroad was built in central Oklahoma. This railroad bridge was built in 1887. Two teams were racing to build the most track in order to get to Purcell, OK first. One team built tracks north from Ft. Worth, TX and the other team built tracks south from Arkansas City, KS. The two teams joined the track in Purcell on April 26, 1887. The team from Arkansas City, KS won the race by only 4 hours.
The Railroad was key to establishing the town of Noble On April 22, 1889.
This bridge was used for 60 years before the tracks were moved slightly to the west in 1947.
