charliewhiskey: The area is no longer as nice as it used to be. I'm letting this go, and I apologize for taking so long to do so.

Thank you to all who visited!

Geocache Description:

A place to pick up or leave stamps for letterboxing. If you see one you like, please take it. No need to leave one in exchange, but if you have stamps you want to get rid of, you can leave them here. This spot may look familiar to some. Watch out for wet ground.

I love letterboxes and especially prize the impressions of homemade stamps I've collected on the way.  I also enjoy looking through letterbox log books to see the stamp impressions left by previous visitors.

I was delighted when Letterbox Hybrids joined the list of cache types, but wish more people would bring stamps to leave more than just signatures in the log books.  So I decided to set this up as a place for people to pick up a stamp to use for their letterboxing.  No need to trade - I'm happy for them to find new homes.

If you have stamps of your own that you'd like to go to new homes, here's a place to leave them.

It's easy, inexpensive, and fun to create your own letterbox stamp.  I used a cheap eraser and an X-Acto knife to create the one for this cache.  Just do an internet search for "carve letterbox stamp" and you'll find several tutorials.
