Koutu: Literally 'Koutu' means promontory or point of land. An apt name for the cache location.
Coordinates averaged on an Oregon 300. Don't complain about them! Use your 'cacher logic' to determine where the GZ would be. For the newer cacher's, a GPS may vary up to 5m accuracy. This cache was placed with 3m accuracy but should be exactly on target. I've noticed a tendency for cacher's to give their own coordinates. If the original is +/- 3m and the perceived is +/- 5m, then it's entirely possible that the accuracy is now +/- 8m. One of the skills at the recent 2012 Mega in Dunedin illustrated this perfectly.
So the point of this cache is for you, dear cacher, to test the accuracy of your GPSr; test your ability to deduce the most likely location and cache type; and finally test your ability to extract, sign and replace the cache without any of the thousands of muggles, per hour, who drive mere metres away, and quite often stop for red lights (but not always - this is Rotorua after all)! Go forth and cache!
Oh, bring your own writing instrument. No photos or fake cacher's allowed. No logs accepted after (if & when) the cache is muggled. A curse of a thousand fleas will be imparted to the cacher who causes this cache to be muggled. If you can't do it with stealth, retain your good health - come back another time!
