DinoDuo: The FACE is no longer recognizable as the loggers have leveled the area to match the surroundings that were leveled a couple of years ago.[:(] On the POSITIVE side [:)] we noticed the logging equipment two days ago and so today xc skied out to the area to take a look. As we approached, 2 machines were chewing up the trees like matchsticks and putting them on the ground. After checking the coordinates for this cache, we noticed that we just might have a chance at making a rescue of the ammo can before those two feller-bunchers could squash the life out of it. We quickly exited our skis and began the hike toward GZ as the noise of the machines grew louder and louder. We arrived at the correct clearing with the machines less than 100 yards away and getting closer by the minute, and there was the container staring us in the "face". We made the grab (after taking a photo) and hurried out of there and back to safety. After losing a couple of containers previously to logging and a DNR "controlled burn" it felt really good to score a WIN for the "home team". This ammo can lives to play another day.
