William Brancroft created the Wilmington Park Commission in 1911 and was instrumental in the development of Delaware's "First Greenway." The stone foundation by the nearby bridge was built as part of FDR's "New Deal." Enjoy the history, the art and what the city is doing now to preserve our natural resources.
