This is going to be a basic meet and greet on a once in a lifetime date. Come join us celebrate this event, and trade your favorite stories, finds, and adventures.
This event is open to all cachers and muggles alike. Bring your signifigant other, family, and interested friends.
If you have any trackables that you need to move along or would like others to discover be sure to bring them.
There are alot of 12/12/12 event being help around the world, but this one will have a special remberance coin minted for the event. The art work below is the Florida Gulf Coast version of this coin, and will be in antique copper, and the clock and horizontal points will glow. The coins are scheduled to be here in time for the event. They will be $12 each, and there are only 75 made in this version. Please bring exact change if possible. Coins will be reserved 1 each, extras will be sold after everyone has had an oppertuntity to get at least 1.
Since it is December, the holiday season is in progress and Christmas is around the corner (unless the prophecies are correct), there will be a game of Dirty Santa. This is a gift swapping game which can be a lot of fun or a bit of frustration for participants and onlookers alike. Participation is optional. Each person age 13 or older who wants to play will need to bring a gift. If you are a couple and would like to play together, you may bring just one present. If you would like to play individually, you will need to bring two.
Here are a few parameters regarding the gifts:
1. Recommended price range is $10.
2. Wrap the gift so no one else can tell what it is.
3. Do not put any names on the gifts to be used for Dirty Santa. Only the gifts for the children 12 and under should have a name. (See below for gifts for children 12 and under.)
4. When choosing a gift for the exchange, please bring something appropriate for age 13 or over. Remember, geocaching is supposed to be family friendly so please make sure your gift is in good taste.
5. Your gift can be geocaching related if you wish but that is not required.
6. Gifts can be something homemade or purchased.
Dirty Santa rules for the game will be given at the event. Just make sure your gift fits within the guidelines above. If you plan on bringing children who are ages 12 or younger, please note that in your "Will Attend" log. Please include the first name or caching name, age and gender for each child attending. Small gifts will be provided for the children if the information is included in the post. If anyone else would like to help provide gifts for the children, please refer to the posts on this page and let me know so there will not be duplications.
