Another unremarkable wee road taking you inland and away from the, sometimes busy, peninsula coast.
If you're out for a drive, a cycle ride, or even, God forbid, a walk, this road will show there's more to the Ards peninsula than just the shore.
Now.
Doccardy has christened me "The drive by cacher", and indeed there may be an element of truth in that statement. I'm not a great one for walking. Or running. Or cycling. In fact, if I'm being honest (And I mostly am) for me, the invention of the TV Remote Contol is up there in importance with the wheel and sliced bread!
Now don't get me wrong. I don't mind a short wee dander now and again, and if there's a Pub or a Pie Shop at the end of the short dander......Happy days!!
However. I thought it was time to get with it and start hiding Caches in the woods, so dig out your Hiking Boots, Your Gaiters and your Mosquito Repellant. Fill your flask. Pack your lunch and make sure you've told someone where you're going 'cause this might take a while!!
The Cache itself is a Micro.
I know!! A Micro in the woods!! Why bother?? But surely it's the adventure, the journey, the scenery, the overcoming of adversities and the sense of achievment and satisfaction at a job well done that are important. It can't be just about the numbers!!
So, my fellow adventurers, Bon Voyage and stay safe..........!
(I had my fingers crossed when I typed all that, a feat in itself I'm sure you'll agree!!)
Please note........There is no need to pull and haul at anything when looking for this one......If you touch it and it doesn't move easily, you're in the wrong place!!
